Turn your ideas into fashion.
Teen Fashion Design Studio is the perfect next step for aspiring designers who dream of creating their own clothing. As the foundation for our CONSTRUCTED runway program, this 14-week course introduces students to the complete fashion design process—from inspiration to a finished garment.
Students will learn how designers think, sketch, and solve creative challenges while developing the technical sewing skills needed to bring their ideas to life. Through hands-on projects, they will explore fashion illustration, color theory, textiles, garment construction, and personal style while creating original designs they can proudly wear.
Throughout the semester, students will:
Develop fashion illustration and visual communication skills.
Create inspiration and mood boards to define a design concept.
Learn about color theory, fabric selection, texture, and current fashion trends.
Build confidence using a sewing machine and essential hand-sewing techniques.
Understand garment construction through beginner-friendly projects and wearable pieces.
Read and modify simple patterns while learning the fundamentals of fit and construction.
Design and sew garments and accessories that reflect their own creative style.
Present a small capsule of work at the end of the semester.
By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in both fashion design and sewing, preparing them for the next level: CONSTRUCTED, our advanced design experience where students create an original runway look from concept to catwalk.
All materials, tools, and equipment are included in tuition.

Classes are once a week. (classes start the week of September 7th, ends December 20th, No classes Thanksgiving week)
