Fashion Design Program at The Stitch Lab
CONSTRUCTED is Shapes To Forms’ newest fashion design, STEM-driven program for ages 13 through adulthood.

CONSTRUCTED is an immersive fashion design experience for ages 13 through adulthood that gives students the opportunity to step into the full life cycle of a fashion designer. Whether exploring fashion as a future career, creative passion, or simply a unique summer experience, students will learn how ideas move from concept to construction to runway presentation. Through hands-on instruction in sewing, design, draping, and garment construction, participants experience the real process behind the fashion industry while building lifelong technical and creative skills. Students in the runway track will have the opportunity to present and model their original designs at Fashion Week San Diego in August or October, gaining firsthand experience in a professional runway environment alongside photographers, models, and fashion industry professionals.
Whether fashion becomes a future career, a creative hobby, or simply a fun summer experience, students will leave with something lasting: real technical skills and the confidence to create.

2027 Fashion Show Opportunities
As a student of CONSTRUCTED, you will have the opportunity of a lifetime to participate in one of the two most elite Fashion Shows hosted in San Diego. Participation is optional, offering you the chance to share your creation and see it on the runway.

Program Dates & Requirements
To participate in the Fashion Week program, students MUST complete either:
- Two Summer Intensive weeks
- One Summer Intensive week + the Fall Weekly Session
Prerequisite: Students should have some basic sewing experience, and be able to operate the sewing machine independently or have completed the Fashion Design Program at The Stich Lab.Summer Intensive Dates - TBD
